Produced and directed by Andrew Jarecki (director of the Academy Award® nominated Capturing the Friedmans and producer of Catfish), this psychological thriller was inspired by the disappearance of Kathie McCormack, wife of real estate heir Robert Durst. Mr. Durst was suspected but never tried for killing his wife Kathie who disappeared in 1982 and was never found.

    I should've known from the beginning when they called Kathy "Katie" that it was going to be the 99 cents store version of a $5 movie from target, but calling Bob "David" was clever of the writers to more clearly identify his ethnicitiy with the jewish persuasion. The best part of this whole movie was seeing Kirsten Dunst's boobs, but I'm sure I could just watch a different movie (comment below for suggestions). One of my classmates recommended this movie to me after I finished watching "The Jinx," but boy do I feel like she Jinxed this movie because it was trashier than *SPOILER ALERT* the garbage bags Bob used to dumb Morris Black's body into the Galveston River.

    Great film based on actual events and an actual true life story. Ryan Gosling is awesome and so is the rest of the cast. The movie is pretty great and definitely deserves at least an 80% or higher. Do not listen to "jaded" critical reviews. Watch these movies and find out for yourself what you think!!!

    It's dated. But a pretty good movie. He is crazy and so is she but for two different reasons. A little predictable but doesn't seem to take away from the movie as long as you don't over analys every detail.

    The critics (as usual) are morons. This movie is very slow paced but the acting and story is amazing. Worth checking out if you are into decent movies.
