Pop Goes Messina

Macon Pops, the world-class contemporary orchestral organization, went “Pops Goes Messina” and dazzled an enthusiastic audience at the Macon City Auditorium during the final staging of their inaugural season. Featured artist for the performance was country star Jo Dee Messina. The evening included dancing, scrumptuous catered tapas, and great music!

The concert opened with several popular tunes, including a song that is one of RetroWarehouse’s favorites: Patsy Cline‘s Crazy.

After a brief intermission, Jo Dee Messina appeared to sing several of her hits. The powerhouse personality engaged those in attendance with delightful stories about the origins of some of her original songs. Messina also announced her then-latest album entitled, Me. She was excited to pronounce that this work is a “semi-social, crowd-sourced” project and is asking her fans to continue to participate in the project. Messina ended this phenomenal concert with her much loved cover of Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believin’.”
