Description

Teenage Will moves from the tough streets of West Philadelphia to a posh mansion in Bel-Air, California, to live with his Uncle Philip, Aunt Vivian, his cousins — spoiled Hilary, preppy Carlton and young Ashley — and their sophisticated British butler, Geoffrey. Will’s upbringing contrasts greatly with this new upper-class lifestyle, and he struggles with integrating into the family or to hold tight to his former ways. Ashley’s growing admiration for Will causes her parents to worry whether he might be a bad influence. Plus, Carlton’s privileged lifestyle is challenged by old prejudices as he is arrested for driving a friend’s car. All of these stories and more begin this landmark first season of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. Notable guest stars this season include Don Cheadle (Ocean’s films, Hotel Rwanda, Crash), supermodel Naomi Campbell, recording artist Tevin Campbell and the multitalented Queen Latifah (The Secret Life of Bees, Chicago, Living Single).

Good Show, Terrible Quality

I’m glad to finally own this and have it easily accessible on my Apple devices, but the quality is definitely lacking compared to what you’d normally see on TV. It looks like the episodes were not encoded right, and reminds me of something that would be downloaded from a torrent. You get used to the quality after watching a couple episodes but it really does look like something even from a VHS tape at times. Did no one notice the lines going through the picture? Kind of a bummer, because iTunes movies and TV shows are usually pretty good quality. For as much as they charge for this show, they really should fix the encoding. EDIT: I’ve noticed after watching a few episodes that the quality seems to get better as the season goes on. Also, the episodes are uncensored just like the DVDs (as of December 2021). For example, the r-word is used in episode 6 and there are plenty of fat jokes. I know a lot of this stuff is edited out of the TV version now, so it was surprising to see it intact.

The quality of the video is really lacking its like an amateur encoded this off his dvds and didn't bother to check if the interlaced video was encoded correctly.. I'm glad I got this while they had it at $10 for the first season promotion cuz if I was buying this by the episode i would be even angrier

This show is one of the best shows of all time. It never fails to capture your spirit and make you happy even after a rough day. Too bad hollywood doesn't really produce shows of this quality anymore because Fresh Prince is a gem.

This show is one of the funniest comedy shows of all time as well as one of the best shows that got cancelled. I love all the characters, it's episodes, and more. Speaking of episodes, here are some of the most memorable and hilarious episodes as well as some great highlights. These are: The Fresh Prince Project Bang the Drum, Ashely Someday Your Prince Wil Be in Effect (Parts 1 &2) Kiss My Butler Talking Turkey Knowledge is Power Lucky Charm It Had to Be You Nice Lady Banks Shot 72 Hours These are all really great episodes of this season. If you haven't watched this hilarious show, buy this and trust me: you won't be sorry!
