Description

The hit A&E series Hoarders returns in season three to take a fascinating look inside the lives of people whose inability to part with their belongings is so out of control that they are on the verge of a personal crisis. Whether they’re facing eviction, jail time, divorce, or even death, these hoarders are desperately in need of help. Each episode of Hoarders — the first and most-watched series about people struggling with extreme hoarding — follows two people struggling to overcome their compulsive behaviors while experts work to put them on the road to recovery. For some, throwing away even the tiniest possession is so painful that they won’t be able to complete the cleaning process. For others, professional help and an organizer’s guidance give them the strength to recover. At the end of each episode find out who has been able to keep their hoarding behavior at bay and who, despite help, is still lost inside this painful disease.

I don't mind that an episode is missing, but can you fix the pricing please so its not by episode only. Instead of the season being $15 its $38 because an episode is missing!
  • Sad and Disturbing Look At A Little Known Disorder

It is contradictory to call hoarders delusional and then claim they are lazy. In truth I have seen only one or two episodes where I felt sheer laziness was at the bottom of the hoarding. Most of these people have suffered severe traumatic incidents in their lives that triggered something in the brain that lead to this type of behavior. Some truly don't even "see" the clutter around them; their minds simply don't process the information in a normal way. Very rarely, some are IMO truly mentally ill, but in most cases the mental disorder is either mild or really more of an emotional issue. The show has provided examples of all types. It is incorrect to place all hoarders in a single category or to find a common cause for each case. Thankfully, at least half of these suffering people do find relief and when re-visiting them, one sees they have cleaned up not only their homes but have found mental peace as well. I think that therapy and medication have helped many of them to live a better life. What amazes me are the professionals who take part in this series. It is unbelievable how they can put up with the sights and smells (often unhealthy) as they do. Dedicated people who truly want to help. Hats off to them!

This should be a message to all hoarders to get help soon and not let it escalade to that level of hoarding

These people are delusional. They call themselves the "collectors" of trash. Hoarders exploits these people for what they are ... plain lazy. That's why I love this show!
