Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet, The Complete Series (English Dub)

It’s a great show to watch, but I found it on another site with two additional episodes. Will iTunes get the other episodes?

Great art, story, however ep 2 has a visual glitch in the beginning, shame.

I got this on sale for $5. Worth much more imho. The series was something I never even heard about but for $5 was an impulse buy. One of the BEST iTunes purchases I’ve made. I really hate anime where high schoolers save the world, but this series isn’t really like that. It is sci-fi, some “romance”, action, mechs, struggling societies with a touch of history lessons. Art: the animation is top notch and very fluid. The colors pop off the screen and there is plenty of detail in people and structures. Sounds: the music is very fitting when it is used to further the scene but not overused. Dialog and voice work is great. Of course all the women are super Gorgeous with large chests that bounce, along with big eyes. But this is not done in a gratuitous way or overdone. So typical anime women but aside from the one belly dance scene they aren’t drawn to make people “excited”. Sometimes the episodes will seem to “slow down” from the action and sci-fi stuff, however these scenes are not filler, they further the overall plot to its conclusion. With only 13 episodes I don’t feel like anything was rushed in order to wrap things up. Nor did anything seem to drag on like multi-season anime shows sometimes do. All in all this is a GREAT show and definitely worth adding to your iTunes library.

saw this series and it looked like a mecha so i did some digging. its also got a belly dance scene and i couldnt stop thinking about it. Episode 6 "Festival". More social awkwardness for a soldier from space and learns to adapt to life on Earth. Meanwhile the local delivery girl gets more attached to him and eventially falls in love.
